ALIENOR detects, guides and tests innovations from mainly regional industrial and academic players (SMEs, ETIs, start-ups and universities), with the aim of developing new solutions capable of bringing performance gains and technological breakthroughs to weapons systems in the aeronautics and space sectors. Based on knowledge of the threat and the needs expressed by the armed forces' operational staff, the aim is also to encourage proposals from the local economic fabric, to identify those most likely to benefit defence, and then to facilitate their development. ALIENOR's ambition to activate the local ecosystem to capture open innovation relies on regional players and, more specifically, the Aerospace Valley competitiveness cluster. It has a number of missions.
