Patrolair launches UAVSUITE

An all-in-one management tool: information on pilots, equipment and operations.

Patrolair launches UAVSUITE, an all-in-one management tool: information on pilots, equipment and operations.

A single tool providing information on remote pilots, UAVs, and past, current and future operations. This is the idea of the Patrolair team, who will be presenting their latest innovation at UAV SHOW 2023. Interview with Antoine Fleischmann, Managing Director.

Who is Patrolair?

Patrolair is the fruit of my meeting with Thierry de Boisvilliers when we were both engineers at Airbus. We came up with the idea of creating a link between helicopters and UAVs. On the strength of our shared experience in the aeronautics industry, and with our aeronautical and military pasts, we set off at the end of 2020.

Our DNA is to breathe aeronautical rules into the drone world. The drone is a tool that originated in the leisure and imaging sector, which has democratized it. Nevertheless, they are evolving in airspace that is already crowded. So we have to be rigorous. That's what we bring to training, thanks to our aeronautical expertise.

First and foremost, Patrolair is a Qualiopi-certified training center. We offer a wide range of training courses: initial training, technical training, learning how to use an infrared camera, terrain analysis (photogrammetry to reproduce terrain in 3D)... We especially want to train our customers for the missions they are going to carry out, and to know how to use all drone programming functions.

We support our customers in introducing UAVs into their operations: analyzing needs, advising on the most suitable equipment, preparing files and documents for operating permits.

Who are your customers?

Our customers come from a wide variety of backgrounds, and we can, for example, assist law enforcement agencies and sea rescuers with their training proposals. We are also frequently involved in the mountain world, working with several ski resorts in the Alps, where we will soon be setting up a drone center of excellence that aims to become the benchmark for drone use in the mountains.

What new product will you be presenting at UAV SHOW?

Drone pilots already know this, and are trying to anticipate it as best they can: from 2024, the DGAC will be imposing new traceability regulations. To this end, we launched UAVSUITE a few months ago. UAVSUITE is a suite of two tools that enable complete management of operations for all remote pilots, from the self-employed to the most experienced specialists, whatever drones are used.

The tool manages all information concerning the remote pilot (insurance, license, time-limited qualification) and the equipment (traceability of technical maintenance acts). This is information that a drone pilot needs to be able to show in the event of an inspection. That's why our tool is available on the web, and now via a smartphone app.

Our tool also enables missions to be planned: scheduling, data collection, reporting. In addition to fully complying with the new regulations, the tool saves a significant amount of time in the day-to-day management of operations.

In a second phase, we plan to create a community around the data generated. Together, pilots will be able to help each other evolve, improve safety and develop their know-how.

Visitors to UAV SHOW will be able to take advantage of a special offer. Visit our stand to find out more.
